DESCRIPTION: Ulysse Breting, Locle, an unusual two train pocket chronometer with center seconds and jumping sixths, 27 jewels, key wind and set, damascened, nickel bar movement with 21,600 train, pivoted detent escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws, gold endstone settings and gold wheel train in a silver, engine turned hunting case and Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, gilt Breguet style hands, serial #17950, 52mm, c1875.
CONDITION: CASE: Case has housed another movement; Dings and scratches; Center of cuvette removed to allow view of movement. DIAL: Scratches minor to dial; Enamel with chips at 4:30, 9:30. HANDS: Fair. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Screw heads with marring and scratches; Clicks with specks of oxide; Loss to blacking in engraving. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly.
